Artsfest for Kids
2010 Kids’ Activities
Hosted by Bailey Alternative High School and sponsored by McDonalds.
Activity 1: Fish Creatures
Kids will be using recycled materials, like plastic and foam, to create fish creatures.
Activity 2: Musical Instruments
Kids will be making shake musical instruments out of cardboard tubes, etc.
Activity 3: Drawing and Coloring on paper
All Activities are free
Kids can also purchase child-size white t-shirts for $5.00. The t-shirt has a picture frame inside of which kids can draw their own masterpiece.
2010 Art Market: For Kids Only
The Art Market: For kids Only provides kids ages 10 and under the opportunity to purchase pieces of fine art for only $5. All the items have been generously donated to the Art Market by artists featured at Artsfest. This is a great chance for kids to find that perfect gift for Mother’s Day or start their own collection.
The Art Market can be found next to the kids’ hands-on activity area at the northwest corner of Walnut Street and John Q. Hammons Parkway.
Hours for the Art Market are noon-6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 1st, and 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 2.
